J Burn Takes You On Down The Line In “Freight Train”
(via Speak Into My Good Eye Watch: J Burn Takes You On Down The Line In “Freight Train”)
“J Burn now shares the Burnt Blue EP with single “Freight Train” getting the music video treatment. The song is a delightful, sparkling piece of acoustic-led story telling, as, I’m sure, Mr. Garcia is somewhere smiling down upon it.” - Nate Voss - Speak Into My Good Eye - 12/04/2015

J Burn's 'Burnt Blue' is a pleasant trip down dusty trails and memory lanes
"It’s hard not to picture The Grateful Dead as the graven image of the J Burn experience—Burnt Blue was recorded at Bob Weir’s storied TRI Studios, after all—but it may be more accurate to describe J Burn as a folksy, San Francisco version of Lynyrd Skynyrd. In Burnt Blue, Burn has shed the psychedelic tones and instead focused his lyrics on bucolic imagery and earthly imaginings of the quotidian. He sings of trains, yesterdays and dusty trails in what could be construed as a hippie riff on the Southern experience." -MacEagon Voyce - AXS Contributor - Sep 24, 2015
